Seems like more of a Wall Street Journal or Washington Times topic. It's also fortuitous timing for me, since I've been on such a "listen to the alternative scientists" jag this week.

The Times article pointed out one thing that I really hadn't thought of at all: the danger of An Inconvenient Truth making the issue a referendum on Al Gore. Gore's appearance on the forefront of this issue may be more likely to change on-the-fence minds against the issue, if they didn't like Gore to start with.Andrew Hammhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08714127938846605400noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23015033.post-90662920016624253662007-03-15T01:59:00.000-04:002007-03-15T01:59:00.000-04:00Challenge power bases that tell you what to believ...Challenge power bases that tell you what to believe.

Like Spock once said.
"I would accept that as an axiom."

JoeLeapin Lipidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06702138399964830896noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23015033.post-54897931939888758962007-03-14T15:58:00.000-04:002007-03-14T15:58:00.000-04:00Absolutely. I posted the NY Times article in it's ...Absolutely. I posted the NY Times article in it's entirety on my blog. The important thing to remember when talking about global warming 'alarmism' is, that there is absolutely no reason to 'panic' or 'freak out' about the environmental consequences of Global Warming if we KNOW what it is that we have to do, namely make small changes in the way we live, and realize that all of our decisions have a ripple effect on the planet and the environment.

I understand Andrew's position on the issue much better now, and we're both on the same page with regard to all that we need to do.

The most important being the last point-- Challenging power bases and thinking for yourself...

PEACE,

ScottoScott Wichmannhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15698019570231228339noreply@blogger.com
