At one point in the meeting I expressed my observations on an issue punctuated with, "I'm not wearing a rubber band."Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23015033.post-62335404355446566112007-07-23T09:45:00.000-04:002007-07-23T09:45:00.000-04:00I hate those bracelets. I think I'll announce to the world my meager altruism by wearing a $2 rubber bracelet which is uncomfortable and made of non-replacable petrochemicals. Woohoo!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23015033.post-6183577629215766252007-07-22T18:36:00.000-04:002007-07-22T18:36:00.000-04:00Okay, Scott's bracelet is okay even though I'm not...Okay, Scott's bracelet is okay even though I'm not a Red Sox fan! And Scott - SO awesome to see you last night, we'll hook up again soon brother! BIG time kudos to you and Jennie and David - really, a terrific show even if the audience was stiff.

Andrew - the bracelet thing, I agree, is symptomatic of the dumbing down of America overall. On the one hand, I hate to be cynical or denigrate anything that supports positive energy and effort, given the culture of negativity around us - and that, to me, seems the only real defense and purpose for such bracelets. But on the OTHER hand...I agree with the author. It's like those bumper stickers that proclaim "I love my kids." That's a point of PRIDE? As if that distinguishes you somehow? I mean, really!

Finally Andrew - weather permitting (and flight back to Richmond from Indianpolis arriving on schedule), I'll be in the house for the Thursday (26th) performance. VERY much looking forward to it!Frank Creasyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15302762603707230845noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23015033.post-6798944859771375782007-07-22T17:19:00.000-04:002007-07-22T17:19:00.000-04:00I have a red one that says RED SOX NATION. Although it's probably a better idea to just donate directly to cancer research.Joey Fanellihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00958769627052632311noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23015033.post-41529825444573204312007-07-22T13:20:00.000-04:002007-07-22T13:20:00.000-04:00This comment has been removed by the author.Joey Fanellihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00958769627052632311noreply@blogger.com
